Why Do I Need Reports?

Reports are necessary for all types of businesses. Without reports we would not be able to run a financially sound business. Reports are a lot more than mere numbers on a page, they help guide our business into a more successful and prosperous direction. If you have asked yourself “why do I need reports?”; then you have been making your job very difficult.

Financial Reports

When generating a report, the first thing you may think of is a financial report. Financial reports come in all shapes and sizes. As the need for financial reports vary based on location and even business requirements, it is sometimes difficult to use the one size fits all approach. Some businesses only what to know the gross revenue and the amount of taxes collected, while other prefer the net revenue and the amount of taxes collected. We strive to make your job easy and get you the numbers that you require in a format that you can use.

Performance Reports

Another type of report is a performance report. You may ask what is a performance report? A performance report shows the performance of an item moving through the system and can tell you what sells and what does not sell. Imagine having thousands of products and each product moves at a different speed. Some may only move during specific times of the year. A performance report shows the history of your products and how they sell throughout the year. This type of report will dictate if it is worth re-ordering a product because it does not sell well or it is about to go out of season.

Inventory Reports

Not all retail business have a brick and mortar location. A lot of businesses still keep track of their inventory on an excel sheet. When working with MobiBlossom Solutions you will quickly get up to speed and get a system that can keep track of your inventory automatically. Inventory reports are just the icing on the cake. With inventory reports you can now see what items are low in stock and have them re-ordered just in time. No need to keep lots of inventory on hand when you can use your own custom made inventory reports to help maintain your stock levels at an adequate amount.

Report Integration

Having a printable report is great. Just think a nice table with numbers with a cool pie chart or bar graph. Unfortunately when it comes down to it, reports are only useful if we can import them into our most commonly used software. This is where report integration comes in. All of your data is stored in a database. The goal is to move that information from one data source to another. Sounds simple and it should be. Most of the software that you use today such as quick books or simply accounting all have an import feature that allows you to bring data from another source.

The sky is the limit on what you can do with report integration. All you need to make sure is that the software or program that you are using supports a data import and we will do the rest.

For those who do not require report integration, all of our reports are available in excel and pdf formats by default. This will help you to take the information that you want and move it to other reports or reporting tools that you use.
